Fewer visitors, cheaper accommodation and car hire and the chance of seeing Northern Lights are the main reason why Reykjavik is number 16 on a new list from The Telegraph. The British publication also mentions the annual Iceland Airwaves music festival that takes place during the first days of November. The City Being exhibition at Nordic House is also recommended. Music lovers thinking about Icelandic holiday during this New Year should also check the Sigur ros festival, Norður og niður.

This winter there will be more flights from the UK to Iceland than ever before.
