The winners of the annual Telegraph Travel Awards have been announced and just like last year Iceland is second on the Europe´s 20 best countries list. Italy is still by far the most popular destination for the Telegraph´s readers but then its Iceland and Croatia got the bronze.
It’s the landscape not the weather that attracts people to Iceland and of course the Northern lights during the winter according to the Telegraph. It is also mentioned that today it is much more affordable to travel to Iceland since the there are so many flights to choose from. From London you can fly to Iceland daily from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted and twice a week from London City. On top of that you have regular flights from Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Belfast.
