This summer 168 cruise ships will dock at Reykjavik carrying 147 thousand passengers, about 15% more than last summer season. The increase is almost 50% compared to the summer season of 2016. Therefore it´s fair to say that sailing to Iceland is getting more and more popular.  The greatest amount of cruise ship passengers are from the US with Germans coming second and the British are number 3.

These three nationalities are also the biggest when the number of tourists arriving by plane in Iceland is counted.
